Technical difficulties for home automation

Logically, the more Smart Home objects find a place in homes, the more breakdowns and technical difficulties multiply.

According to a recent study conducted by Parks Associates and RouteThis, more than a third of Smart Home device users experienced technical difficulties this year 2022. A sad statistic but one that reflects the growing adoption of home automation objects by households.

Voices over to Jennifer Kent of Parks Associates

21% of people who experienced such difficulties chose to try to solve them themselves, while 91% tried at least one personal solution before calling professionals. “The growing technical difficulties with Smart Home devices are felt particularly by those who use them the most, explains Jennifer Kent of Parks Associates. Our data shows that households with a head of household between the ages of 35 and 44 are those most likely to be affected by these problems. And it is also this age range that is above average in the adoption of such devices.”
