JVC LX-NZ30, 4K Ultra HD Projector, HDR10, HDR HLG, 3300 Lumens, Lens Shift…

The manufacturer JVC added during the CES show in Las Vegas 2023 at the beginning of January another DLP model to its D-ILA range, the LX-NZ30, still imitation Ultra HD/4K, at a widely accessible price and with interesting specifications, especially if you are a video game lover. Presentations.

HD Ready 2 160p model, the JVC LX-NZ30 is based on a 0.47'' (1.19 cm) DMD chip from Texas Instruments with Full HD resolution.

JVC LX-NZ30, Main Specifications

To recreate an Ultra HD display, the implementation of the American firm's XPR4 wobulation process is still on the menu: the hyper-high switching speed of the mirrors (7 microseconds) is put to use via specific video processing in order to to “switch” each micromirror in three other positions to ultimately create four pixels for the same displayed image. Thus, the initial number of pixels is quadrupled to "create" 8 million pixels, the number necessary for an Ultra HD resolution. To finish with the subject of Ultra HD / 4K technology, know that the JVC LX-NZ30 is HDR10 and HRL HLG compatible.

Another advantage of the JVC LX-NZ30 is its ability to display a 1080p signal up to 240 Hz with an Input Lag of only 6.25 ms, perfect characteristics for video game enthusiasts.

Specifications, more

For the rest, the JVC LX-NZ30 features the simple Blu Escent laser light source (set of 105 W blue laser diodes) for an advertised brightness of 3,300 lumens for an advertised lifetime of 20,000 hours. Still on the menu, we must also mention a 1.6x zoom and a remarkable Lens Shift, vertical ±60% and horizontal ±23%. We can also mention a keystone correction (horizontal, vertical and inclination). The size of the projected image varies from 60'' (152 cm) to 200'' (508 cm). Precision, zoom, Lens Shift but also the focus are manual.
