Evolution of the B&W PI7 already presented in detail in our pages, the new PI7 S2 signed Bowers & Wilkins offers similar equipment (see below the reminder of the main specifications) with however some evolutions.
B&W PI7 S2, Bluetooth range and increased battery life
The B&W PI7 S2, for example, immediately offer an increased Bluetooth range of up to 25 meters. Autonomy progresses with five hours of listening without recharging, and a quick charge of 15 minutes is enough to benefit from two additional hours of listening. The earphones are intimately linked to Bowers & Wilkins' Music app, which allows setup, configuration of noise cancellation modes and adjustment of the wearing sensor. It also supports hi-res streaming directly from mobile device to headphones via music platforms like Qobuz, Tidal and Deezer.
B&W PI7 S2, 6 microphones for calls and active noise reduction
The earphones still feature six microphones - three in each earphone - for exceptional sound quality during phone calls. Similarly, based on these many microphones, the adaptive noise reduction function also benefits.
B&W PI7 S2, charging box and Bluetooth module with analog connection
We find on the B&W PI7 S2 the brilliant functionality implemented on the PI7, namely to take advantage of many audio sources without Bluetooth function on the in-ear headphones, via the charging box and its 3.5 mm mini-Jack cable /USB. It's very simple, once the USB cable has been connected to the box, all you have to do is plug the Jack connector into the source. The sound is then transmitted from the box to the headphones. It is thus easy to transmit the sound of a game console (unless the manufacturer has blocked Bluetooth in the event of pairing with an unapproved headset), of a computer, of the sound broadcast in the audio circuit of aircraft ( you know, the socket in the armrests), many TVs… In short, wherever it is possible to connect a wired headset via a 3.5 mm mini-Jack, it is possible to do the same with the B&W PI7 S2 via the charging/storage case.
B&W PI7 S2, Qualcomm APT-X Adaptive
Finally, compatible with 48 kHz/24 bits, the B&W PI7 S2 promise excellent sound results. So it's still one of the few True Wireless headphones capable of supporting a high-resolution audio stream. Also note that the Qualcomm APT-X Adaptive technology allows the transmission of high-resolution music from streaming services and compatible devices.
Available in Satin Black (black), Canvas White (white) and Midnight (midnight blue) at an indicative price of 399 euros.
