Philips PML9308 The Xtra 4K Ultra HD TV: 55'' and 65'' Mini LED, HDMI 2.1, 1000 nits…

After the Philips OLED908 and Philips OLED808, it's time for the Philips PML9308 Mini LED TV series, called The Xtra by the brand.

The Philips PML9308 Mini LED TV series will have two references, the Philips 55PML9308 (55'', 140 cm) and Philips 65PML9308 (65'', 165 cm).

Philips PML9308 TV, P5 processor

Philips PML9308 displays of course benefit from the P5 processor blended with artificial intelligence for a magnified HDR experience. Precision, the Fast Motion Clarity and anti-marking modes, exclusive to Oled screens, are therefore absent. For the rest, we find all the features associated with this formidable chip: new ambient light sensor, two HDMI 2.1 inputs with eARC, VRR, HFR 4K/120, ALLM and FreeSync Premium Pro.

About these Mini LED TVs equipped with 10-bit 120 Hz LCD panels, Philips announces a luminous peak of 1,000 nits, 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut and a Full LED Local Dimming backlight system.

Philips PML9308 TV, Ambilight 3 sides and HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR HLG and HDR Dolby Vision

Of course, the brilliant Ambilight process is still required, in three-sided mode, such as compatibility with HDR Dolby Vision, HDR HLG and HDR10+ Adaptive technologies.

Philips PML9308 TV, 2.1 64W sound system

The Philips PML9308 Mini LED TVs include a Bowers & Wilkins 2.1 audio system with a total power of 64 W. The triple-ring type subwoofer is complemented by four passive cones to enhance bass impact. Precision, a Dolby Atmos decoder and a Dolby Atmos Virtualizer function are also required.

Still on the sound side, the Philips PML9308 TVs benefit from the DTS Play-Fi function (see our news Philips and DTS Play-Fi partnership: televisions, sound bars and wireless and multiroom speakers) allowing the configuration of a wireless 5.1 Home Cinema system or the integration of the TV into a multiroom system. On the other hand, no Google TV on Philips The Xtra screens but the "home" Smart TV function.

Scheduled for sale in September.
