The Three Musketeers (The Three Musketeers, 1973) and its sequel We Called Milady (The Four Musketeers, 1974) are still stainless marvels of cloak and dagger today. Both were directed by the talented Richard Lester (The Rose and the Arrow, Superman III) who faithfully adapted original novels by Alexandre Dumas while injecting them with a good dose of humor.
The Three Musketeers and We Called Milady come out in 4K with restored masters labeled HDR Dolby Vision at the right time at the end of April, while the saga of Dumas will experience a new iteration with great spectacle signed Martin Bourboulon on April 5 .
A crazy cast
The two works by Richard Lester bring together an absolutely crazy cast. Let us judge: Michael York (D'Artagnan), Oliver Reed (Athos), Richard Chamberlain (Aramis), Frank Finlay (Porthos) but also Raquel Welch, Faye Dunaway, Jean-Pierre Cassel, Charlton Heston or even Christopher Lee !
The 4K versions of The Three Musketeers and We Called Milady are already open for pre-orders (click on the title). The list of bonuses that will accompany these releases is not yet published.
