According to the Daily Mail, Phoebe Waller-Bridge would be the number one choice of Barbara Broccoli, historical producer of the franchise, for the screenwriter-actress-director to direct the twenty-sixth James Bond.
A woman at the helm
The creator of Fleabag had already worked on the script for Dying Can Wait to bring her dose of humor (and pathos…), and to rework certain dialogues from Daniel Craig's latest Bond. A reassuring detail, the pretty Cuban sequence of the film, with Ana de Armas in the skin of the character of Paloma, was imagined at the last minute by Cary Fukunaga, director of the film, and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (who we will see as Indy's goddaughter in Indiana Jones 5, pictured below). The production of the next James Bond will start at the earliest next year.
