Minecraft, champion of champions
In first position comes an independent game that everyone knows -Minecraft- with more than 238 million units sold. The rest of the rankings are below, but we can mention the third place for Tetris, not for the original game but for a "re-release" by Electronic Arts in 2006 (by the way, we highly recommend you see the Tetris movie recently released on Apple TV+).
Nintendo, the most represented publisher in the Top 20
Finally, note that the oldest game in this Top 10 is Super Mario Bros in seventh position, released in 1985. Moreover, Nintendo occupies 11 places in the Top 20, not even counting Pokémon, owned only in part by the Japanese developer. Pokémon which, let's remember, is the most profitable license of all time.
