From the first seconds, we find the atmosphere and the narrative codes (interrogation/debrief scene) of the very first (and best) season of the series to date, True Detective.
The characters embodied by the Jodie Foster/Kali Reis duo give the feeling of being endowed with particularly strong personalities, and the whole thing seems particularly well filmed. We can't wait for the season to be broadcast later this year on HBO (which officially becomes "Max" after its merger with Discovery+).
Bloody Snows
As a reminder, this is the fourth season of the iconic anthology series starring Jodie Foster, Kali Reis, Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett, Isabella Star Lablanc, Aka Niviâna, Anna Lambe and Joel D. Montgrand, as well as Christopher Eccleston and John Hawkes. This season is written and directed by Issa López. The official synopsis states: “As a long winter night falls on the town of Ennis, Alaska, the eight men in charge of the Tsalal Arctic research station disappear without a trace. To solve the case, detectives Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) will have to overcome their own demons and probe the eternal ice in search of the deepest secrets."
