In 2022, as in 2023, the retransmission in Ultra HD 4K format of the Roland Garros tournament will be provided by Amazon Prime and the satellite operator Fransat. No doubt the signal offered by the streaming service will be HDR10, like last year. For Fransat (channel 444) on the other hand, according to the website of the satellite package, HDR10 will be in order this year (against SDR in 2022).
Roland Garros 4K HDR also on TNT
As usual, in addition to Fransat, the event channel France TV Sport UHD 4K which captures from May 28 to June 11 all the matches of the center court Philippe Chatrier (see capture above) should therefore be available in HDR10 on channels 81 and 83 from DTT. To see if channel 82 in SDR will remain relevant and if channel 81 is still the only one to benefit from a Dolby Atmos AC4 multichannel audio signal (in 5.1.4). Finally, as usual, these three TNT channels are only accessible to the inhabitants of Paris and its region, Nantes and Toulouse.
Roland Garros 4K HDR also on Molotov and OrneTHD
New in 2023, as indicated on the France TV Pro website, the OTT Molotov service and the local internet service provider OrneTHD (for the Orne valley as its name suggests) will also relay the France TV channel Sport UHD 4K, unfortunately without further technical details, in particular on the presence of HDR and/or Dolby Atmos technology. Finally, it's becoming an annoying habit, nothing is planned on the boxes of the various internet operators...
