Like the 2022 LZ2000 series, the MZ2000 has three references, the Panasonic TX-55MZ2000 (140 cm), Panasonic TX-65MZ2000 (165 cm) and Panasonic TX-77MZ2000 (196 cm).
Panasonic MZ2000, Master Oled Ultimate panels with MLA for a bright peak at 1,500 nits
Namely, the first two models are the only ones to benefit from the new Master Oled Ultimate panels equipped with the MLA process (Micro Lenses Array for microlenses, see photo above) developed by LG Display, also announced on certain diagonals of LG G3 vintage 2023 (see our CES 23 news > LG G3 Oled TV, MLA technology for a +70% light peak on 55''/65'' and 77'' panels).
With the latter, Panasonic announces a luminous peak of 1,500 nits, as shown by the capture below, taken from the brand's press conference which has just ended, a few hours before the opening of the CES show in Las Vegas 2023. The panel of the 77'' specimen, called Master Oled Pro Cinema Size, remains identical to that of the 77LZ2000.
While the panels are still from the manufacturer LG Display (a company belonging to LG Group, like LG Electronics), they have been optimized by Panasonic teams in partnership with a renowned and famous Hollywood colorist, Stefen Sonnefeld, who has collaborated with the greatest film directors and the biggest box office hits such as A Star is Born, Man of Steel, Wonder Woman, Jurassic World, 300, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Beauty and the Beast…
Panasonic MZ2000 Oled TV, main specs
Panasonic MZ2000 televisions of course offer all the equipment of last year's LZ2000 models in addition to recent technical improvements from in-house engineers to display an ever more beautiful image, in particular a focus on video games: Game function Control Board, Input Lag optimization for 60 Hz games, Dolby Vision HDR management up to 60 Hz, AMD FreeSync Premium certification in Gaming mode and automatic detection of nVidia processors (G-Sync compatibility).
On the Panasonic MZ2000 TVs, we find the sound section of the LZ2000, ie a sound bar with 16 networked front speakers (in line and grouped), associated with the side speakers and those in Up-Firing configuration. Of course, the entire Panasonic MZ2000 TV audio system was developed and configured by engineers from the famous Hi-Fi Technics firm, owned by Panasonic. New for 2023, a Bass Boost feature is available to enhance bass impact.
HCX Pro AI Processor
On Panasonic MZ2000 TVs, we find the HCX Pro AI Processor chip whose algorithm is based on Machine Learning technology in order to adapt in real time (analysis of the image every second) the best parameters according to the content displayed . Namely, this Machine Learning process is coupled with a huge image database of more than a million video clips. Of course, the HCX Pro AI Processor chip also acts automatically on the sound delivered by Panasonic MZ2000 televisions, again by finely adapting the settings to the nature of the program displayed, film, sport…
Game Control Board
As already mentioned, video games are another aspect that Panasonic pays particular attention to on the Oled MZ2000 TVs. In addition to a minimum Input Lag of 1.5 ms with 60 Hz games (10.5 ms otherwise), we note of course the presence of two HDMI 2.1 connectors (plus two HDMI 2.0) compatible (s) VRR, ALLM and HFR 4K /120. Note, the management of the eARC function is mandatory.
HDR Dolby Vision IQ and Filmmaker Mode
As a reminder, the purpose of the Dolby Vision IQ process offered by Dolby Laboratories, in the presence of Dolby Vision HDR content, is to always offer optimum image quality whatever the ambient light conditions, without having to play from the remote control.
But also to better adapt the TV image settings based on real-time analysis of the content displayed. Thus, on a snow landscape, the HDR Dolby Vision IQ influences the color temperature to approach the whiteness of the powder.
Namely, the Filmmaker Mode option of the Panasonic MZ200 TVs is associated with the Intelligent Sensing process. The latter uses the brightness sensor of televisions to adjust the rendering of HDR according to the light environment. More generally, and with the aim of an ever-improving image quality displayed, the MZ2000 TVs incorporate an RGB sensor capable of adapting the color temperature displayed on the screen according to that of the environment, not no longer just influence the brightness alone.
HDR10+, HDR HLG, HDR Dolby Vision and HDR Photo
Panasonic MZ2000 televisions, in addition to the HDR10+ Adaptive already mentioned, are of course compatible with HDR10+, HDR HLG and HDR Dolby Vision, not to mention HDR Photo, the HDR format for digital photos that also appeared in 2019.
Similarly, appeared on Panasonic 2020 Oled TVs, the option to deactivate Tone Mapping (conversion of colors between an image with a greater dynamic range than that of the diffuser in order to avoid clipping or clipping), and specifying the TV clipping level via the menu is always appropriate. Thus, content producers will be able to make full use of the TV's performance in this area, so that clipping really takes place at the maximum of the TV's capabilities, and not before. Result, a richer color and more natural image.
CalMan compatibility on the menu
Panasonic MZ2000 TVs also support CalMan PatternGen test patterns from CalMan Portrait Display software via AutoCal functionality. Another precision, the ISF certification and the 3D Lut (color conversion table) integrated on the LZ2000 models, faster to adapt immediately to the change in brightness, are still on the program on the MZ2000.
Dolby Atmos compatibility
Panasonic MZ2000 TVs always include an audio system with Up-Firing speakers called 360° Soundscape Pro to effectively reproduce Dolby Atmos soundtracks. Similarly, as already mentioned above, these TVs always accommodate side speakers to perfect the audio scene, in particular the 3D sound bubble.

Smart TV My Home Screen 8.0, Built-in Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa
The new Smart TV My Home Screen 8.0 function offers the possibility of personalizing the home screen (My Scenary option) with the choice of photos or a video. Panasonic has collaborated with LoungV Studio and Joy Foundation to provide quality relaxation videos. Access to VOD and content is also made easier thanks to a redesigned graphical interface based on icons representing the devices connected to the television, as well as for the Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, Apple TV+ and YouTube applications. Users can even add frequently watched TV channels directly to the home screen.
Dual Bluetooth connection allows simultaneous connection of two suitable devices. Thus, for example, it is possible to enjoy TV sound on two separate wireless headphones.
