At the heart of this new model is an Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (1 x 3.36 GHz Cortex-X3 + 2 x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 + 2 x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 + 3 x 2 GHz Cortex-A510) engraved in 4 nm, supported by 12 GB of Ram, an Adreno 740 graphics chip and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of Flash memory. On the camera side, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has changed little compared to its already beefy predecessor. It still totals three sensors on the back: 50 Mpxls wide-angle (f / 1.8, 23 mm, photosite 1 μm, Dual Pixel PDAF, stabilized), 12 Mpxls ultra wide-angle (f / 2.2, 123 mm, 1.2 µm photosite) and 10 Mpxls telephoto lens (f/2.4, PDAF, 3x optical zoom, stabilized). Plus two sensors for selfies, a 10 Mpxls wide-angle (f / 2.2, photosite 1.22 µm, stabilized) located at the top of the outer screen plus a 4 Mpxls (f / 1.8, 26 mm, photosite 2 µm, stabilized) concealed under the main flexible screen. For video, recording is guaranteed up to Ultra HD 8K at 24 fps, Ultra HD 4K at 60 fps, 1080p at 240 fps or even 720p at 960 frames per second.

Another clarification, if an S-Pen stylus is in the box, there is no location on the Z Fold 5 to hide it. Samsung explains that this absence is linked to the desire to leave as much room as possible for the battery. With so much space for the stylus, the autonomy of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 would have been significantly reduced.

On the screen side, there is a main Oled 7.6 '' (19.3 cm), HDR10 + specimen with a resolution of 1,812 x 2,176 pixels (373 ppi) and a refresh rate of 120 hertz. The exterior screen, 6.2'' (15.74 cm), also OLED obedience with a 23.1/9 ratio and equipped with a 120 Hz display, displays a resolution of 904 x 2,316 pixels. In terms of sound, there are two speakers for stereo reproduction and 384 KHz/32-bit compatibility.

On the connector side, there is a USB-C 3.2 port, a fingerprint sensor (on the side), GPS and NFC, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 APT-X HD compatibility. Finally, the Android 13 operating system and IPX8 certification (guaranteed waterproofing at a depth of 1.5 m for 30 minutes) are on the menu. The colors expected for this new model are Icy Blue, Phantom Black, Cream, Grey, Blue. Expected release at the end of August. Indicative prices: €1,899 for the 256 GB version, €2,039 for the 512 GB version, €2,279 for the 1 terabyte version.
