Samsung's new Galaxy Z Flip 5 folding screen smartphone, made of aluminum and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for the screens, was unveiled at the end of July at the manufacturer's Unpacked event. Here's what to remember.

At the heart of this new model is an Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (1 x 3.36 GHz Cortex-X3 + 2 x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 + 2 x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 + 3 x 2 GHz Cortex-A510) engraved in 4 nm, supported by an Adreno 740 graphics chip, 8 GB of Ram and 256 GB or 512 GB of Flash memory (still no micro-SD memory card reader to expand the memory). There is also a 3,700 mAh battery, fast charge (25 W) and power sharing functions and wireless charging compatibility (15 W).

On the camera side, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has changed little compared to its already beefy predecessor. It still totals three sensors on the back: 12 Mpxls wide-angle (f / 1.8, 24 mm, photosite 1.8 µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, stabilized) + 12 Mpxls ultra wide-angle (f / 2.2 , 123 mm, photosite 1.12 µm). Plus a 10 Mpxls wide-angle sensor (f / 2.2, photosite 1.22 µm, 23 mm) for the selfie camera. For video, recording is guaranteed up to Ultra HD 4K at 60 fps, 1080p at 240 fps or even 720p at 960 frames per second.

Let's not forget to remember the practical side of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which retains an extremely small footprint with the shape of a square when folded. On the screen side, there is a main specimen Oled 6.7 '' (17 cm), HDR10 +, bright peak of 1,750 nits and equipped with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,640 pixels (425 ppi) and a rate of 120 hertz refresh. The exterior screen takes the lead with a diagonal of 3.4''' (8.64 cm). It is Obedience Oled and displays a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels (306 dpi). In terms of sound, there are two speakers for stereo reproduction and 384 KHz/32-bit compatibility.

On the connector side, there is a USB-C 3.2 port, a fingerprint sensor (on the side), a GPS, and Wi-Fi 6e, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3 compatibility. Finally, the Android 13 operating system is at work and IPX8 certification (waterproofing guaranteed at 1.5 m depth for 30 minutes) is on the menu. The colors proposed for this new model are mint, graphite, cream, lavender, gray, blue, green, and yellow.
