IFA 23 > Thomson QLED TV, Android TV 11.0 and Dolby Vision/Atmos from 43'' to 85''

After the Thomson Easy TV, Thomson Smart TV and Thomson UHD Smart TV series, unveiled this summer in our columns, following our presentation of the Thomson TV 2023 range on the occasion of the brand's big return to Europe (see. our news Thomson TV, rebirth of the brand with 40 new models from 24'' to 85''), with the Thomson QLED TV series.

The Thomson QLED TV TV series therefore has six references, the Thomson 43QA5213 (43'', 109 cm), Thomson 50QA2S13 (50'', 127 cm), Thomson 55QA2S13 (55'', 140 cm), Thomson 65QA5213 ( 65'', 165 cm), Thomson 75QA2S13 (75'', 191 cm) and Thomson 85QA2S13 (85'', 216 cm).

Thomson QLED TV, main specifications

To make a long story short, Thomson QLED TVs include all the specifications of the UHD Smart TV specimens with a few major differences, for example the presence of Quantum Dots nanocrystal technology for almost perfect colorimetric richness and accuracy. The sound section delivers 16 W on the 43'', 20 W on the 50'', 55'', 65'' and 75'', and 24 W on the 85 inch.

In addition to a 10-bit Ultra HD HD 4K LCD panel here, HDR Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos compatibility is present.

We also find within these televisions a Quad Core processor (ARM CA55) for sophisticated image processing, a 60 Hz panel, a Direct LED Global Dimming backlighting system, a triple tuner DVB-T2, DVB-S2, DVB-C, a backlit remote control (possibility of a remote control suitable for the elderly and/or visually impaired with larger keys, limited in number, but always equipped with a favorite button to access in a single press to his favorite channel).

Thomson QLED, connectivity

Thomson QLED TV televisions are richly equipped in terms of connectivity. There are four HDMI CEC 2.0 inputs, one of which manages the ARC functionality, a Composite on RCA, a stereo on RCA, an optical output, two powered USB ports, an Ethernet port, a CI+ port and a headphone output.

Thomson QLED TVs feature a neat and very successful design with an extremely thin LCD panel frame for beautiful elegance.

Finally, Thomson QLED TVs are models connected through the Android TV 11 operating system. We therefore find the Chromecast function (integrated), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatibility, Google Assistant voice control, HbbTV accounting or even access to the Google Play Store to install all the desired applications: Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, myCanal…

Availability announced for the month of September. Indicative prices: €449 for the Thomson 43QA2S13, €499 for the Thomson 50QA2S13, €549 for the Thomson 55QA2S13, €749 for the Thomson 65QA2S13, €1,090 for the Thomson 75QA2S13 and €1,990 for the Thomson 85Q A2S13.
