For its 30th anniversary, Batman vs. the Masked Ghost gets a 4K release

The 1993 animated film, Batman: The Masked Ghost, will be getting a proper 4K release for its 30th anniversary.

If Batman vs. the Masked Ghost, directed in 1993 by Eric Radomski and Bruce Timm, was never released in theaters in France, it nonetheless remains one of the best anime dedicated to the Dark Knight. Fans all remember the catastrophic first DVD release, without the voice of Richard Darbois and with only Quebec dubbing! For its 30th anniversary, the error is corrected and the film is therefore given a nice facelift in 4K UHD, enhanced with an exclusive bonus. All in a sublime Steelbook box that matches its qualities.

Batman vs. the Masked Ghost, a master stud

It must be said that Batman vs. the Masked Ghost (76 minutes) is a direct derivative of Batman, the animated series from the 90s whose neo-retro graphic style, scenarios and dubbing still remain to this day master standards in the subject.

The film's completely original story takes place in Gotham City. We meet Andrea Beaumont, an old acquaintance of Bruce Wayne, a new enemy for Batman, the Masked Ghost, but also (and above all) the Joker!

New 4K master for Batman vs. the Masked Phantom

Publisher Warner/DC Comics specifies that the film (VO DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, VF Dolby Digital 2.0) will be accompanied by a brand new featurette with Kenvin Conroy, the voice of Batman for more than 30 years. A 4K UHD version remastered from the original negative from 1993 and which respects the grain of the film of the time.
