Android users converted by the iPhone 15 and its USB-C port?

The “new” USB-C format of the iPhone 15 could convince Android smartphone users to switch to Apple.

After years of proprietary format for its charging/transfer cable, Apple is finally moving to the USB-C standard with the iPhone 15 series, constrained and forced by European legislation. An important change, which could perhaps even convince new customers to join the Apple ecosystem.

The USB-C port, the main commercial asset of the iPhone 15?

This is what the comparison site SellCell sought to find out, which questioned more than 1,000 Android users and 1,000 iPhone users about this new USB-C port. Note that this survey was conducted before the iPhone 15 range was unveiled last night. Ultimately, 44% of Android users say they would consider purchasing an iPhone 15 if it is equipped with USB-C. As for iPhone owners, they indicate that they will upgrade to the iPhone 15 for this reason at 63%.

The ergonomics of the unique USB-C cable

As for the reasons given, 37% of iPhone users cite the practicality of using only one cable to charge all their devices (iPhone, iPad and Mac). 35% of Android users will be won over by the compatibility with chargers from brands other than Apple. Also cited the potential increase in loading and transfer speed.
