Blue Beetle, the fourteenth DC film, was a nice surprise at the cinema this summer. Although not original, it brought a breath of fresh air to the world of superheroes on the big screen, which really needed it.
Xolo Maridueña is just perfect
It must be admitted that its Puerto Rican director came out of nowhere, Angel Manuel Soto, achieved the perfect balance between family film and teen comedy, and above all found the ideal actor to play Jaime Reyes aka Blue Beetle. Xolo Maridueña is perfect in his naivety and clumsiness in his role as a young American adult of Mexican origin who despite himself becomes a super human, half Iron Man, half Spider-Man: the famous Blue Beetle!
Certainly, he you'll have to wait a bit to be able to enjoy his adventures in your living room, but the edition of the film in 4K Ultra HD (Steelbook case), scheduled for December 14 from Warber, promises good times in front of your screen.
Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for Blue Beetle
The film by Angel Manuel Soto will use HDR Dolby Vision technology for the image and Dolby Atmos for the original version. As for the bonuses, they will be legion, since the publisher announces no less than nine featurettes:
• Blue Beetle Generations
• Origins• The beginning of production• In full flight• The world of a hero• Vision of the beetle• Episode 1: Initiation• Episode 2: Mystery• The grandmother by Blue Beetle Knows Best
