Violent Night: Christmas will be trashy with David Harbor

On Christmas night, a group of mercenaries break into the property of a wealthy family. The hostage situation turns into a fight for survival when Santa Claus (David Harbour, Stranger Things) arrives to fight it out.

Alcoholic, disillusioned and badass, the little Santa Claus of Violent Night has nothing to envy of his predecessors, Harry Stadling, the barred worker of Christmas Evil (Lewis Jackson, 1980), or the murderous Santa of the Sweet saga night, bloody night initiated by Charles E. Sellier Jr in 1984.

Christmas gore nugget

Norwegian director Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters) has not forgotten his great Christmas classics either, his new film being halfway between Crystal Trap (John McTiernan, 1988) and Mom, I Missed the Plane (Chris Colombus, 1990) with a caustic cocktail of humor and excessive gore.

Announced in a 4K Ultra HD Steelbook and Blu-Ray Collector's Edition box set on November 8 at Universal, Violent Night is available in English and French DTS 5.1. In additions, the audio commentary of the film, deleted and extended scenes, the making of (and behind the scenes) followed by the original trailer.
