Like the public operator France TV in France, it is the Spanish public television RTVE which will launch 4K DTT on February 15, 2024 in Spain with the channel La 1. With a notable difference announced during the ninth edition of the 4K HDR Summit which is being held from today November 13 until 11/16 in Malaga, 100% coverage of the Hispanic territory from the first day compared to around 70% in France.

Nothing specific yet about the technical elements of 4K TNT but given its officialization at the 4K HDR Summit, it should be done in HDR. For sound, AC3 and AC4 (Dolby Atmos) should be appropriate. Namely, three other channels will be available for testing, two through 4K TNT, another via satellite (Hispasat).
