According to the often well-informed Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the next major version of the iPhone operating system -iOS18- will offer sufficiently attractive changes to compensate for the blandness of the iPhone 16, which will not bring much -something new, except perhaps slightly larger screens.

Among other things, iOS18 should exploit artificial intelligence algorithms for improved applications, and also to stand up to the competition - Google, Samsung to name a few - which is starting to seriously get angry in this sector. As a reminder, the iPhone 16s are scheduled for September 2024, and iOS18 would be launched immediately.
