Whether this box (see photo below) also integrates part of the electronics of the Samsung The Premier 8K video projector, like that of the LG M4 Oled TVs, we do not yet know.
Samsung The Premiere 8K, maximum diagonal 150'' (381 cm)
The rest of the specifications previously announced are still current (see our news (UPDATE) CES 23 > Samsung The Premiere 8K, ultra-short throw 4,000 nits video projector), namely a maximum diagonal of 150'' (381 cm) against 130'' (330 cm) for the Samsung LSP9T (click on the reference to discover the complete test of the product by the editorial staff of AVCesar.om) and 110'' (279 cm) for the Samsung LSP7T, both of which appeared in 2020.
Samsung The Premier 8K, main specifications
For its part, the sound section is still Dolby Atmos compatible, of obedience 6.1.2 will deliver a maximum power of 100 W by reflection via the screen to give the impression that the sound scene sticks to the screen, therefore to action. The same goes for the Tizen Smart TV interface, offering access to the main streaming platforms. A new feature was specified by Samsung last night, a 4-screen Multiview mode to simultaneously display four 75'' (191 cm) windows for as many different contents (for example an HDMI source + YouTube + a streaming application + your smartphone via Miracast). Of course, as with Ultra HD 4K references, the Samsung The Premiere will only require a few tens of centimeters of distance to offer maximum image size. And its brightness should still approach 4,000 nits.
Like the LPS9T, this specimen will be built from a triple RGB laser source associated with a 4K UHD DLP chip from Texas Instrument and an XPR wobulation process. Namely, the keystone, autofocus and focus will be managed automatically, like on XGimi video projectors. However, the question remains about the presence of a TNT tuner (DVB-T).
Availability announced for mid-2024. Indicative price still unknown.
