Murders on 110th Street: Barry Shear's explosive thriller from Rimini Éditions

Harlem, early 1970s. The city, already under tension with black and white gangs, faces an outbreak of violence following the robbery of a gambling den controlled by the mafia. While the local godfather demands to find the culprits, Captain Mattelli (Anthony Quinn) and Lieutenant Pope (Yaphet Kotto) embark on a perilous investigation.

With its title far from being trivial - 110th Street being the dividing line between the hot Harlem of the time and the beautiful neighborhoods of Manhattan - the explosive thriller by Barry Shear (The Troops of Wrath, The Streets of San Francisco) raises a certain number of questions around racial discrimination and urban violence.
