Even if Warner Bros has just signed a new agreement with Tom Cruise, Paramount is not giving up on its star. Currently, Ehren Kruger, the co-writer of Top Gun: Maverick, is writing the first version of the script where Tom Cruise would team up again on screen with Miles Teller and Glen Powell, as well as with producers Jerry Bruckheimer and David Ellison. As for Joseph Kosinski, the director of Maverick, he would at least return as producer of Top Gun 3, or even possibly be its director.
