Blu-Ray God is a Bullet: Nick Cassavetes surprises with an ultra-violent thriller

After the murder of his wife, detective Bob Hightower (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) decides to infiltrate a satanic cult in the hope of finding his daughter alive. Case (Maika Monroe, It Follows, Watcher), a young survivor and a mysterious ferryman (Jamie Foxx), will help him reach the psychopathic guru (Karl Glusman, Love, The Neon Demon) of the community.

Adapted from the eponymous novel by Boston Teran, God is a Bullet marks a turning point in Nick Cassavetes' filmography, which has tended towards dramas or romcoms in recent years (Triple Alliance, My Life for Yours, Never Forget). Inspired by real events, his new film plunges us into the other side of the American dream with its share of excesses and extreme violence.
