Last year as of March, more than 125 million Nintendo Switch consoles had been sold worldwide. A year later, in March 2024, this figure is expected to increase to more than 141 million if Nintendo estimates are to be believed.
The Nintendo Switch already on the podium with the PS2 and the Nintendo DS££££
A figure which is dangerously close to the 157 million for the PlayStation 2, the best-selling console of all time. Just behind is the Nintendo DS handheld console with 155 million. So, with optimistic forecasts, the Nintendo Switch could join these two leaders, or even surpass them next year. It's difficult to be categorical, however, knowing that a Switch 2 should soon be revealed and that it could overshadow its predecessor, or even slow down its sales.
