A few weeks ago, a patent suggested that the next foldable screen smartphone Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 - expected in August 2024 alongside the Z Flip 6 - would see its thickness reduced compared to its predecessor.

More recently, sources from the SamMobile site reveal that the device would only measure 11 mm thick once folded, compared to 13, 4 mm for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. As a reminder, if the Z Fold 5 is Samsung's thinnest foldable smartphone, it nonetheless remains one of the most imposing compared to the Chinese competition. To scrape a few tenths of a millimeter, Samsung could introduce a titanium rim. With this material, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has effectively increased to 8.6 mm in thickness compared to 8.9 mm for its predecessor.
