Its dimensions (barely less than a meter in length) make it suitable for televisions up to 75'' (165 m) and its height of 60 mm only allows its placement in front of most televisions without hiding the bottom of the LCD/OLED panel and therefore part of the image. The acoustic package of this soundbar has six speakers: two 7.5 cm woofers in downfiring configuration, two 4 x 9 cm ovoid midranges, plus two 2.54 cm tweeters. Powered by Class D amplification, the total power delivered is not specified but it should not exceed 2 x 30 watts.

The Denon DHT-S218 integrates Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Atmos decoders. For its part, Denon Dialog Enhancer mode improves dialogue intelligibility in three stages without affecting the overall sound level. Finally, the connectivity of the Denon DHT-S218 includes an HDMI CEC 2.0 input/output (eARC) certified HDCP 2.2 with management of VRR, ALLM and Pass-Through HDR Dolby Vision functions, an optical input, an auxiliary 3.5 mm stereo mini-Jack, a dedicated USB port for firmware updates and a subwoofer output.
