Blade: the end of the endless tunnel?

Even if the film has not yet found its new director, a provisional start date for production has reportedly been set for November 1.

The latest news is that Eric Pearson is writing a final version of the film that everyone seems to agree on. To date, the film will have sold out six writers including Michael Green (Logan), Beau DeMayo (X-Men '97), Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective), Stacy Osei-Kuffour (Watchmen series) and Michael Starrbury (The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete).

Already 5 years of production for the new Blade££££

Finding a director would be the next step after the departure of Yann Demange. The latter had already taken over from Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli) who abruptly abandoned the project two years ago before filming began. It's been five years since the project was announced, starring Marshala Ali. Since then, the film has become infamous for its production problems, not to mention Covid and strikes. Marshala Ali (Green Book) and Mia Goth (Nymphomaniac) officially remain attached to the project.
