After years of one another and the same, Samsung is breaking habits and launching a new type of wearable. New in any case for the Korean brand since connected rings already exist, even if we don't hear about them less than smartwatches or smartbands.

Focused on health and well-being, the Galaxy Ring is equipped with several sensors dedicated to these purposes: accelerometer, blood pressure and skin temperature in particular. The ring determines a sleep score, detects body movements during the night, heart rate, breathing rate and menstrual cycles. By logging into the Samsung Health app, you can view your Energy Score and suggestions for improving it. Lots of data is tracked and searchable, and no subscription is required to access it.

The ring also detects when you start a sporting activity, can alert you to abnormal heart rhythms and even push you to move when it detects a lack of movement for too long. Other features include the ability to trigger a Galaxy smartphone's camera with a double-pinch gesture, or ring the smartphone remotely if you misplace it. Featuring a concave design and a Grade 5 titanium finish, the Samsung Galaxy Ring weighs between 2.3g and 3g depending on its size. Finally, it offers water resistance of 10 ATM.
