We probably know Michael Mann's next film project

In the 2010s, Heat director Michael Mann only made one film, Hacker (Blackhat). But since the beginning of the 2020s, the author of Ferrari has put the turbo on.

Since he directed the pilot for the Tokyo Vice series in 2022 (he is also a producer), the director of Collateral and Révélations has visibly changed gear. In 2023, he directs Ferrari and is about to adapt his novel Heat 2, a sequel to Heat produced in 1995.

But a persistent rumor suggests that he already has a new project in his sights at the end of Heat 2 with the American remake of the 2015 South Korean police comedy Veteran, whose official synopsis is as follows: “Seo Do-cheol is an old-school detective who shows no mercy when it comes to tracking down criminals. One day, he finds himself investigating a young millionaire, Jo Tae-oh, whose fortune and high-ranking connections have so far allowed him to escape justice. The script for this remake of Ryoo Seung-wan's film, in which Michael Mann would participate, is in its development stage. To be continued, therefore.
