This is reported by the Korean site The Elec, citing in particular estimates from Samsung itself, which has for ambition to sell 10% more units of its new models compared to last year. The Counterpoint Research firm is even more optimistic, with growth estimated for its part at 30%, or a distribution which would then reach 9 million for recent Samsung foldable smartphones in 2024 alone. However, the Merichi Securities firm affirms that Samsung is preparing production of 8 million Galaxy Z Fold6/Flip 6 by the end of the year, even though the company has ordered enough components to produce 9 million.
Ultimately, Samsung should establish itself as the undisputed leader in the foldable smartphone market in 2024.
