The Penguin: new images of Colin Farrell unrecognizable

As part of San Diego Comic-Con, HBO has just unveiled a new trailer for The Penguin, its next series derived from the universe of Matt Reeves' The Batman film.

With this new trailer, the series, which will be available on Max from September 20, suggests a visually and narratively demanding story with a simply imperial Colin Farrell. Until then, we couldn't forget the actor behind the makeup, but these extracts are reassuring and clearly give the impression that the character has taken precedence over the actor. It's dense, violent, and the secondary characters seem "insane".

More good news, Colin Farrell has confirmed that he will return as the Penguin in Matt Reeves' The Batman Part II. The 8-episode series takes place a few days, or weeks, after the end of The Batman film with the death of Carmine Falcone (Jon Turturro) and the flooding of part of Gotham City. A war for control of Gotham's underworld has begun. Competing for the game are Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine's daughter Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti), and arrested mob boss and Falcone's rival Salvatore Maroni (Clancy Brown). Note that Craig Zobel (Mare of Easttown) is directing the first two episodes of the series.
