A fast-paced and dry story, clearly top-notch direction and a solid cast… it’s been a long time since a trailer, full of so much promise for a film intended for the Netflix streaming platform, has not shown its face.

Rebel Ridge even immediately brings to mind the first Rambo, coupled with an edginess and mastery that really make you want to see more. The synopsis is simple and effective: “A former marine (Aaron Pierre) discovers the extent of corruption in a small town when his cousin’s attempt to get bail degenerates into a violent confrontation with the police chief.â€
AnnaSophia Robb, James Badge Dale, James Cromwell, Don Johnson, Emory Cohen and David Denman complete the cast of the film. Rebel Ridge will be available on Netflix from September 6.
