At the recent D23 event, Lucasfilm released the first trailer for Skeleton Crew, a new Star Wars series whose first two episodes will air on December 3 on Disney+.
"When they make a mysterious discovery on their previously safe planet, four children become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, meeting unexpected allies and enemies, will be an adventure bigger than they ever imagined." This is the pitch for the series supervised by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, respectively director and screenwriter of Spider-Man Homecoming.
Small and big, always££££
"At its heart, it's a story about the desire to explore a world bigger than your own," Watts said on the official StarWars.com website. I think people can relate to it, no matter their age." Ford added: "Starting a new group of characters on their first adventure is fascinating, especially seeing them evolve over time."
For the more picky fans, the series takes place after the original trilogy, around the same time period as The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka.
