Texas Instrument DLPC8445, new controller for 4K projectors

Texas Instrument has just launched a new display controller for 4K projectors, featuring particularly small dimensions.

DLPC8445, this is the name of the latest component proposed by the Texas Instrument firm and available for video projector manufacturers. This display controller has the particularity of measuring only 9 x 9 mm, 90% smaller than previous versions.

Premium TV and monitor quality objective££££

The component allows for minimal latency (below a millisecond) and a refresh rate of up to 240 hertz. Texas Instrument claims the controller can deliver picture quality on par with high-end TVs and monitors, when paired with two other new components from the manufacturer: the [abc]DMD[/abc] DLP472TP chip and the [abc]LED[/abc] DLPA3085 power management circuit.

Other benefits of the controller include [abc]VRR[/abc] compatibility and advanced image correction capabilities for clear display on a variety of surfaces. It is also the first [abc]DLP[/abc] controller designed for battery-powered laser projectors, making it ideal for portable devices.
