3-fold smartphone: Huawei is launching this year

Samsung had better watch out, the Chinese Huawei will launch this year the very first smartphone whose screen folds in three using two hinges.

A pioneer in the foldable smartphone sector, Samsung has been hinting for a while that a device is being prepared in its labs whose screen can fold in three using two hinges. But apparently, the Korean company will not be the first to market such a smartphone since the Chinese company Huawei should launch such a device before the end of the year.

Richard Yu, ambassador of the new Huawei foldable smartphone ?££££

This is what several "leakers" reveal on the social network Weibo, with a photo of the president of Huawei himself, Richard Yu, calmly using this new product on a plane. Photo taken without his knowledge or clever communication stunt? We don't know, although we tend to lean towards the second option. This three-section smartphone becomes a tablet with a 10" (25.4 cm) screen once unfolded, and will be equipped with the new Kirin 9 chip. It should be released before the new Huawei Mate 70.
