Faye: the icon of New Hollywood in an uncompromising documentary

After Five Came Back, a docu-series about five filmmakers (John Ford, William Wyler, John Huston, Frank Capra and George Stevens) who put their careers on hold to enlist in the middle of World War II, director Laurent Bouzereau returns with a first feature-length documentary about cinema icon Faye Dunaway, with her exceptional participation.

A major actress of the 60s and 70s, Faye Dunaway made her mark on the history of cinema with her talent, her crazy charisma preceded by a hell of a reputation as a pain in the ass. The actress who plays Bonnie Parker steals the show alongside Warren Beatty in Arthur Penn's masterpiece made in 1967 (Bonnie & Clyde) and has had prestigious collaborations with Norman Jewison, Elia Kazan, Roman Polanski, Sydney Pollack, Jerry Schatzberg and Sidney Lumet, among others.

Now 83 years old, the actress takes a retrospective look at her immense career as well as her personal struggles. An unfiltered (self)portrait. To be discovered on Max since this summer.
