According to Deadline's sources, Warner Bros. has optioned three actors from the British syndicate Equity: Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift. Names that are surely familiar to fans of the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso since these actors play Rebecca Walton, Roy Kent and Leslie Higgins respectively.
A sign that a next season is being seriously considered. All that remains is to bring in other key actors signed up to the American syndicate Sag-Aftra, notably Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt (Ted Lasso and Coach Beard).

But we are only at the beginning. It seems that no budget has been signed yet, much less a production schedule established. Also according to Deadline, the first preparations have begun to set up a group of writers (writing room). Naturally, neither Warner Bros. nor Apple TV+ have anything to declare on the subject.
