Tesla and its founder Elon Musk are on all fronts of technological innovation. The company is currently developing its humanoid robot, named Optimus.
And to catch up with pioneers like Boston Dynamics, the company is working extra hard. The proof is in this job offer spotted by Business Insider: wear a motion capture suit for more than 7 hours straight in order to feed the data that will allow the robot to move autonomously.
Who wants to train robots to imitate humans?££££
The hours offered are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from 4 p.m. to midnight to 00:30 and from midnight to 8:30 a.m., for a salary between $25 and $48 per hour (plus stocks and other bonuses). The three-shift shifts therefore, a sign that Tesla has no time to waste in order to be up to speed with the competition. It will take no less to design these robots that can even babysit your children.
The job offer specifies that candidates must be able to walk more than 7 hours a day while carrying loads of up to 15 kilos. More specifically, candidates "must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, stretch, squat and twist throughout the day." A dream job, really?
