Samsung Galaxy Fold “Slim” end of September?

Samsung is reportedly set to launch a new edition of its record-breakingly thin Galaxy Z Fold foldable smartphone.

The latest rumors claim that a new, thinner version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold smartphone will be announced in Korea on September 25.

According to the leaker @evleaks (via SamMobile), this model will be called the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. He adds that the device will have a 6.5" (16.51 cm) external screen and an 8" (20.32 cm) main screen. The thickness is 10.6 mm folded and 4.9 mm unfolded. A thinness that we realize when we compare with the thicknesses of the very recent Z Fold 6: 13.4 mm folded and 6.1 mm unfolded. It will therefore be the thinnest foldable screen smartphone ever produced by Samsung, even if some Chinese competitors are already below these dimensions. Let's note, however, that the Korean company favors solidity, which would explain why the model is not doing better than all the competition.

Finally, note that this Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition only seems to be reserved for certain territories, not including the United States or Europe.
