"Apparatus, methods, and graphical interfaces for using a cursor to interact with three-dimensional environments" is the title of a patent filed by Apple last year and recently published.
Apple patent for gesture control for a number of electronic products££££
While the document focuses on hand gesture recognition technologies to control a graphical interface like Apple Vision Pro, it hints that such a control method could come to other devices, such as Mac computers or even the iPhone and iPad. The illustrations give the game away, including interactions with the products mentioned below. Additionally, one of the specifications explains that the system works for devices "that provide computer-generated experiences, including, but not limited to, electronic devices that provide virtual reality and mixed reality experiences via a display."
Convoluted explanations as we systematically find in patents, but which therefore include all devices, and not just mixed reality headsets.
