Thus, in 2024 TCL continues to democratize Mini LED technology which now concerns the 7 series of the brand's TV range which has five references, the TCL 55C765 (55", 140 cm), TCL 65C765 (65", 165 cm), TCL 75C765 (75", 191 cm), TCL 85C765 (85", 216 cm) and TCL 98C765 (55", 249 cm). In terms of design, a central foot is included, except for the 98" which requires a double foot for its stability. TCL C765, main specifications££££ Models [abc]Ultra HD[/abc] [abc]4K[/abc] [abc]LCD[/abc] VA 144 Hz equipped with an advanced fifth-generation Mini LED system called OD20 (distance between the backlight system and the LCD panel of 20 mm), the TCL C765 televisions benefit from a native 10-bit panel. In terms of zones, the C765 televisions are much better equipped than last year's C805, the first Mini LED series in the TCL 2023 TV range. Judge for yourself: 720 for the 55C765 (384 for the 55C805), 1,008 for the 65C765 (compared to 512 for the 65C805), 1,248 for the 75C765, 1,536 for the 85C765 and, ditto, 1,536 for the 98C765.
Good news, we find on the backlighting system of the fifth generation TCL C765 screens all the recipes of that of the TCL C805 (see our news TV Ultra HD 4K TCL C845: Mini LED OD10, QLED, 2,000 nits, HDR10+, Dolby Vision/Atmos, 144 Hz and Google TV). First of all, all strictly identical diodes, particularly in terms of efficiency (electrical efficiency, wavelength, power) to ensure perfect image homogeneity, but also in colorimetric terms for total uniformity and to combat the Demura effect (also called Clouding) directly from the backlighting system and not just at the LCD panel level. Similarly, these embedded LEDs are capable of changing state extremely quickly, i.e. a time period less than that required to display an image, even with a 120 hertz signal. Called Direct Drive by TCL, this feature eliminates shadow problems on moving objects. Similarly, the LEDs of the TCL C765 TVs offer ultra-precise control of the brightness delivered, according to a million levels according to the brand. Thus, the slightest variations in the image are taken into account and reproduced on the screen for increased realism. We find the Dynamic Alpha Technology function, allowing to vary the brightness of each of the Mini LED zones on 16 levels. This fine setting allows for example to specifically manage the brightness of the zones adjoining those displaying the subtitles of a film in the Cinemascope black band by imperceptibly graying the black in order to eliminate the phenomenon of off-axis Blooming. Similarly, the Dynamic Alpha Technology function also improves the uniformity of the panel.
