Hisense C2 Pro, new Trichroma Ultra HD 4K video projector

Continuing our presentation of the new series of video projectors from the Chinese manufacturer with, after the Hisense C2, the Hisense C2 Pro, also presented at the IFA 2024 show in Berlin which closed its doors yesterday.

First remark on the Hisense C2 Pro (in the middle of the photo above), the 3D management is still there. And the addition of an adjustable foot still allows the projector to be rotated 360° and easily tilted forward or backward at a very pronounced angle. A function that significantly improves its ergonomics by facilitating its integration into any interior. Otherwise, keystone correction and autofocus are also still there.

Hisense C2 Pro, embedded TriChroma technology££££

The Hisense C2 Pro model is structured from TriChroma technology ([abc]RGB[/abc] laser), like the Hisense C2. The latter offers 110% coverage of the Rec.2020 gamut, which more or less corresponds to human visual perception. This projector features a variable throw ratio of 0.9 to 1.5:1 (optical zoom). In addition, it benefits from advanced image processing, optimized by [abc]artificial intelligence[/abc] algorithms, as well as an integrated 3DLut (three-dimensional Look-Up Table), allowing precise color management.

The Hisense C2 Pro also integrates MEMC (Motion Estimation/Motion Compensation), which improves the fluidity of moving images. This technology is particularly beneficial when projecting dynamic content, such as action films or sporting events, by reducing blurring and providing increased sharpness.

Hisense C2 Pro TriChroma, main specifications££££

For the rest, the Hisense C2 Pro projector benefits from [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc], [abc]HDR10[/abc], [abc]HDR10+[/abc] and [abc]HDR HLG[/abc] compatibility. The Hisense C2 Pro projector displays a brightness of 2,600 lumens (native contrast of 2,000:1) and stands out for its support for [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc], [abc]HDR10[/abc], [abc]HDR10+[/abc] and [abc]HDR HLG[/abc] (Hybrid Log-Gamma) formats. The Hisense C2 Pro projector also includes a Filmmaker mode, designed to reproduce films as they were originally intended by their directors. And to be complete on the subject, the [abc]Imax Enhanced[/abc] certification is also on the program.

Hisense C2 Pro TriChroma, DLP chip with wobulation££££

For the rest, the Hisense C2 Pro TriChroma integrates a [abc]DLP[/abc] TI 0.47'' (1.19 cm) chip with a response time of 32 µs and a resolution of 2,048 x 1,200 pixels, a section of which of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels is used to generate an Ultra HD 4K image through the XPR4 process (wobulation) signed by Texas Instrument. As a reminder, the latter uses the hyper-high switching speed of the mirrors via specific video processing to create 8 million pixels for each displayed image (a real pixel ultimately gives four pixels). Precision, the Input Lag is announced reduced (without further details) and the maximum display frequency reaches 240 Hz in [abc]1 080p[/abc], 60 Hz in [abc]2 160p[/abc].

Hisense C2 Pro TriChroma, connectivity, connectivity, Smart TV and sound section££££

On the connectivity side, there are two [abc]HDMI[/abc] 2.1 inputs (with [abc]eARC[/abc] management), an [abc]optical[/abc] output, two [abc]USB[/abc] 3.0 ports and an [abc]Ethernet[/abc] port. The equipment also mentions the [abc]Wi-Fi[/abc] and [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] functions. The sound section of the Hisense C2 Pro is signed JBL.

On the menu again, the Smart TV Vidaa function, a platform signed by Hisense associated with a particularly fast Quad Core processor, the Mediatek MT9669 (4 GB of RAM + 64 GB of flash memory). In terms of voice control, in addition to the Vidaa assistant, Alexa and Google Assistant are available. Last detail, the foot is made of metal (compared to plastic on the C2).

Availability expected for the month of November. Indicative prices: 2,690 euros.
