Max, WarnerMedia's streaming platform, has just announced that its series Dune: Prophecy will be available to watch on November 15. The first images clearly show that the series is in the same vein as Denis Villeneuve's Dune films, based on Frank Herbert (see Dune Part I, Dune Part II). In fact, Villeneuve had originally been mentioned as the director of the pilot episode of this prequel, but was too busy with Dune 2 and declined.

The cast includes Emily Watson, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina and Jodhi May. New trailer expected on October 17.
