Hisense Micro LED TV prototypes, the manufacturer marks its territory

Micro LED technology will undoubtedly be the next screen revolution, from the smallest (for example in smartwatches) to the largest (video wall). The television will of course be concerned. If we are convinced of this at the AVcesar editorial office, some players in the audio-video market too. For example Hisense, which presented two specimens at the IFA show in Berlin last week.

Let's not lie to ourselves, change is not happening right now! The Micro LED TV revolution, i.e. with televisions suitable for the average person, will not happen for several years, by 2030 at best according to the consensus of the manufacturers involved in this display process.

Hisense invests in Micro LED technology££££

Samsung, TCL and LG, all fans of technical demonstrations at the biggest international trade fairs, are this year joined by Hisense at the IFA Berlin 2024 show with two models: a 136" (345 cm) and a 163" (414 cm). Like the aforementioned brands, Hisense is far from the idea of quickly marketing such a television for the general public. The presentation of these screens is, however, a way for the Chinese firm to lay the foundations for later, to affirm its ambition to become a real player in this future segment of the TV market. For information, in this regard, Hisense acquired a Chinese manufacturer of [abc]LED[/abc] (HC Semitek and Changelight) in 2023 in order to have the necessary expertise when the time comes.

For the rest, nothing to say or almost. It's very beautiful, it's very large and the screens are still composed of a multitude of Micro LED panels. But this in no way foreshadows the products that would one day be marketed by the brand. But the message has been received...
