BOE Oled panels stronger than Samsung and LG?

Chinese manufacturer BOE has assumed its ambition to do better than the leaders in the OLED screen market, Samsung Display and LG Display.

After spending heavily on building new Oled panel factories, Chinese manufacturer BOE seems ready to compete with the two giants of this technology, Samsung Display and LG Display.

This is what Business Korea explains, reporting that BOE presented a new Oled screen prototype at its latest Innovation Partner Conference held in Beijing from September 3 to 6. A prototype with an even larger color space than Samsung's, according to BOE. The manufacturer claims that the screen covers 95% of the BT.2020 gamut where LG's Woled does not exceed 70%, and Samsung's QD Oled caps at 90%. The technological feat is notable, even if the screen is not yet planned for large-scale production. Indeed, since it is only a prototype, no marketing date has yet been announced.

Let us recall that BOE has been trying to become a preferred supplier to Apple for a while, but has always failed due to a lack of quality and longevity compared to Korean models. But with this advance, BOE could succeed in seducing the Cupertino firm and joining LG and Samsung as a supplier for iPhone screens.
