The promise is beautiful! If it turns out to be true, JMGo through the exclusive MALC 2.0 process could well, through its three references JMGo NS1 Ultra, JMGo NS1 Pro and JMGo NS1 Ultimate, shake up the Home Cinema video projection market with, for example, the display of an HDR signal finally worthy of the name, the major weak point of this equipment while televisions compete in performance in this area.
Before going further into the specifications of these products, therefore the substance, it is necessary to point out their shape with an adjustable foot allowing the video projector to be easily tilted at a very pronounced angle. A feature seen on other models, Hisense for example with the C2, C2 Pro and C2 Ultra series, which significantly improves ergonomics by facilitating their integration into any interior. Otherwise, keystone correction and focus are also part of the game.
JMGo N1S/NS1 Pro/NS1 Ultimate, embedded MALC 2.0 triple laser technology££££
The JMGo N1S projector series is structured around a triple RGB laser and MALC 2.0 technology (Microstructure Adaptive Laser Control). The latter is based on three specifications: modular laser stacking for 15% increased luminous efficiency of bright colors, quadruple-layer diffuser for near-perfect uniformity of brightness (> 95%) and dynamic speckle reduction (LSR for Light Speckle Reducer Technology). In the end, the coverage of the Rec.2020 gamut is given as 110% (with a Delta E < 1), which more or less corresponds to human visual perception. For the rest, these projectors have a fixed projection ratio of 1.2:1.
The JMGo N1S projector series also features MEMC (Motion Estimation/Motion Compensation), which improves the fluidity of moving images. This technology is particularly beneficial when projecting dynamic content, such as action movies or sporting events, by reducing blur and providing increased sharpness.
JMGo N1S/NS1 Pro/NS1 Ultimate, main specifications££££
For the rest, the JMGo N1S projector series benefits from [abc]HDR10[/abc] and [abc]HDR HLG[/abc] compatibility (and no, there is no [abc]HDR10+[/abc] or [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc] on the menu). The JMGo NS1 Ultra projector boasts a brightness of 2,400 lumens, 3,000 lumens for the JMGo N1S Pro and 3,500 lumens for the JMGo N1S Ultimate (native contrast of the series announced at 1,600:1) and is distinguished by its support for the formats [abc]HDR Dolby Vision[/abc], [abc]HDR10[/abc], [abc]HDR10+[/abc] and [abc]HDR HLG[/abc] (Hybrid Log-Gamma).
JMGo N1S/NS1 Pro/NS1 Ultimate, DLP chip with wobulation££££
For the rest, the JMGo N1S video projectors have a [abc]DLP[/abc] TI 0.47'' (1.19 cm) chip with a response time of 32 µs and a resolution of 2,048 x 1,200 pixels, a section of which of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels is used to generate an Ultra HD 4K image through the XPR4 process (wobulation) signed by Texas Instrument. As a reminder, the latter uses the hyper-high switching speed of the mirrors via specific video processing to create 8 million pixels for each image displayed (a real pixel ultimately gives four pixels). Precision, the Input Lag is announced reduced (without further details but below 50 ms) and the maximum display frequency reaches 120 Hz in [abc]1 080p[/abc], 60 Hz in [abc]2 160p[/abc].
JMGo N1S/NS1 Pro/NS1 Ultimate, connectivity, connectivity, Smart TV and sound section££££
In terms of connectivity, the JMGo N1S video projectors have two [abc]HDMI[/abc] 2.1 inputs (with [abc]eARC[/abc] management) plus a [abc]USB[/abc] 2.0 port. The equipment also mentions the [abc]Wi-Fi[/abc] and [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] functions. The sound section of the JMGo N1S is signed Dynaudio. Also on the menu, the Smart TV Android TV 11 function offering access to the Google universe and the main [abc]streaming[/abc] platforms, except Netflix. Everything is implemented by the Quad Core Mediatek MT9629 processor and the [abc]3D Ready[/abc] function is present. Last details, the operating noise is announced as low, at 26 dB, a figure that is probably optimistic (in the editorial office we are betting on 35 dB on average, which would already be under control)
Immediate availability. Indicative prices: €2,299 for the JMGo N1S Ultra, €2,699 for the JMGo N1S Pro and €2,999 for the JMGo N1S Ultimate.
