The default values for these new settings result in different video processing behavior than previous firmware versions. This new behavior generally provides better picture quality in most cases. However, depending on personal preferences and connected equipment, some users may wish to adjust these settings to revert to the previous behavior. Note: AI PQ/SR settings are only available for 8K models. • Added full STD DV support with CMv4.0 • Added DVD menu support • Added “Setup > Miscellaneous > Display > Show Additional Icons” setting. This option is disabled by default. When enabled, the front panel display shows a few status icons • Added the “Configuration/Audio/Sample Rate Switching Delay” setting (8K models only). It fixes the issue where the beginning of audio files might not be heard due to the HDMI audio sample rate switching time (when the native audio sample rate is used and the sample rates of the audio files are other than 48 kHz). The default value is 800 ms, which seems to be sufficient for most AV receiver and TV models. Depending on the model used, it may be necessary to choose a different value. R_volution player firmware update, improvements££££ • Updated the French user interface translation • The “Use VS10 for SDR/HDR” video setting is now disabled by default (this change will take effect after a settings reset) • Disabled Hi-Fi mode when the played files are too large • Added support for Unicode UTF-16 LE encoding for subtitles • Irrelevant settings in the “Settings/Audio” menu are now grayed out for convenience (as in the “Settings/Video” menu) R_volution player firmware update, improvements££££
