While the shape of the Sonos Sub 4 subwoofer remains identical to that of the Sub 3, the bottom evolves with increased power and memory (Quad Core 4 x A55 chip clocked at 1.9 GHz and 512 MB/4 GB), not to mention wireless capabilities now up to date with Wi-Fi 6 Dual Band compatibility, instead of Wi-Fi n, for a more robust connection.

For the rest, apart from its shape, the dimensions of the Sonos Sub 4 remain unchanged with 389 mm in height by 402 mm in width and 158 mm in depth. Like the Sonos Arc Ulrta, the Sonos Sub 4 benefits from a sustainable design with materials that are as free of pollutants as possible and less silicone, plus an optimized power supply for an average consumption 50% lower than that of its predecessor, and a lighter weight with 11.79 kg on the scale compared to 13.15 kilos. Another new feature, the black or white colors are available in a matte finish.

For the rest, we find two [abc]12.7 x 20.32 cm elliptical-shaped [abc]woofers[/abc] powered by Class D (without further details on the power as usual with Sonos) with the capacity to go down to 25 Hz according to the brand. The arrangement of the two speakers oriented towards the inside of the box creates a force cancellation effect, therefore distortions.
Of course, the Trueplay function which automatically calibrates the sound reproduction according to the room after analyzing the environment is still in place.
