Bloomberg's often well-informed Mark Gurman corroborates rumors from last year about a more affordable version of the Apple Vision Pro headset, released in our country last summer.
Apple Vision not Pro or less Pro…££££
Aiming for a sale price of €2,000, or half the price of the current model, this new headset could arrive as early as next year. Apple hopes to be able to sell at least twice as many as the original. To reach this price, the new Apple Vision will use a less powerful processor, as well as less noble materials than aluminum and glass. Some functions could also disappear, such as EyeSight, which displays the user's eyes on the external screen (which should therefore also say goodbye). Apple would also use larger internal screens with reduced resolution. A priori of Amoled obedience if we are to believe previous rumors.
Apple Vision more Pro than Pro££££
Gurman says that developing this version is a priority at Apple right now, with the company acknowledging that the Apple Vision Pro's price and size have held it back from greater success. However, Apple wants to maintain the immersive experience of the original model. It's worth noting that a second "expensive" generation is also in development. It's scheduled for 2026 and will feature a more powerful processor.
