In the midst of promoting their upcoming film The Electric State, the duo discussed their upcoming Netflix projects in development. After the success of Tyler Rake in 2020 and Tyler Rake 2 in 2023 with Chris Hemsworth as Australian mercenary Tyler Rake, the duo couldn't resist the temptation to make a third.
The three make a pair££££
Joe Russo, the screenwriter for the first two parts, said: "We're working on this story right now. We're working hard. We hope to start production and filming next year." Before saying more about the involvement of Idris Elba, who appeared as a mysterious character at the end of the 2nd film and who should return in the 3rd: "If you liked seeing Idris and Chris on screen at the end of the 2nd film, you're going to enjoy Extraction 3."
In the meantime, The Electric State by the Russo brothers will be released on Netflix in March. Which, given the trailer, should largely temper our impatience to one day discover an Extraction 3…
